Introduction Astanga Yoga 

(In the open area next to the amphitheatre)

This course will cover the fundamentals of Astanga Yoga practice which includes Asana (posture) and Pranayama (breathing) practice as well as theoretical description of the bhandas (energy locks) and some yoga philosophy.  Most weeks Pranayama techniques will be taught and practiced for half of the class.  Then, for the other half of the class, students will be instructed on how to move through a series of yoga postures combined with Pranayama (breathing exercises) to help develop focus and control over the mind and body .   

Rejuvinate yourself for the week ahead through this gentle yet stimulating practice. All experience levels are welcome. Classes are open to Youth and adult students.

Please come to class on an empty stomach but do drink a glass of water half an hour prior to the start of class.  Wear loose clothing that allows for freedom of movement and bring a yoga mat.
